Mechanical Engineer
 Duties and Responsibilities
·       Monitor and analyze mechanical devices for problems
·       Develop and test devices for improvement
·       Recommend design changes, cost reductions, warranty improvements, and manufacturing issues
·       Create and develop new products and concepts; oversee development
·       Perform and analyzing tests to track results and make improvements
·       Work with marketing and vendors, providing product specifications for their use
·       Perform root cause analysis and work towards resolutions
·       Oversee all required engineering qualification tests on project; ensure compliance with all outside parties involved
·       Write product specifications, document test results, prepare product operating instructions and review technical literature
·       Participate in test runs or field installations
Requirements and Qualifications
·       Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology, or equivalent work experience required
·       Experience working with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
·       Experience with mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, LabView)
·       Superior computer skills; well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly strong with Excel); ProEngineer/Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Sketchup or equivalent
·       Able to create 2-D or 3-D designs to run simulations, analyze, and tests
·       Able to provide leadership or mentorship among team members; provide support and encourages collaboration
·       Ability to travel to various locations both domestically and internationally (up-to 75% of the time)
 
Preferred Qualifications
·       Completion of all Fundamentals of Engineering and Principles and Practice of Engineering tests, administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying
·       Extensive knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and thermal analysis
·       Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
